Artist Statement 2

Ever since I began to realize the intensity of being alive, I've been drawn to an unspeakable place that defies description, in poetic or even abstract terms. It's a place that can only be experienced for short moments at a time. A crack between worlds. A place that wobbles unbalanced between certainty and uncertainty, between sound and silence, between darkness and clarity. A place that allows one to achieve perfection without the slightest degree of conscious awareness. A place that may be the crack in the cosmos of life and death, that lets us glimpse into a part of the universe that can assure us that we are behaving in accord with the infinite stream of human discovery. This brings us closer and closer into harmony with our species.

I realize I will never bridge this gap or even hold on to it for more than a few moments, so in my work I am hoping to show a few small glimpses of what I am trying to grab on to. It's part of you.
